Built to work with official sources

The planner doesn't print visa rules that will go out of date. Instead, every research page asks you to record the official source and the date you checked it, the same standard we use on ExpatBound. It's an educational planning tool, not legal, immigration, tax, or financial advice.

Common questions

Is it a printed book or a PDF?

It's a printable PDF in US Letter size. Print the whole thing, print only the pages you need, or fill it in on a tablet with a PDF annotation app.

Do I need to know where I'm moving first?

No. The first section helps you define what you want from a move and shortlist up to three destinations before you commit to one.

Does the planner include visa requirements for specific countries?

No, on purpose. Requirements change often, so the planner gives you the right questions to ask and space to record official answers and the date you checked them. Our country guides and Visa Income Checker are a good place to start your research.

How is this different from the free Starter Kit?

The free Starter Kit is four quick-reference pages. The Relocation Planner is a full 25-page workbook that takes you from your first 'why' through destination research, a go/wait/no-go decision, and your first 30 days abroad.
